Introduction

In the year 2020/21, the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reported 142 workplace fatalities — most of which were entirely preventable. These tragic figures highlight the critical importance of a proactive approach to health and safety at work.

Everyone has the right to return home safely at the end of their shift. But to ensure that happens, we all need to play a part — by identifying risks, following procedures, and looking out for ourselves and our colleagues.

The Working Safely course provides a straightforward overview of workplace safety principles, empowering employees at all levels with the knowledge needed to reduce risk, comply with legal responsibilities, and contribute to a safer working environment.
